Senggigi Beach

INFORMATION
Senggigi is the most developed area for tourists on Lombok. You can find a variety of restaurants, bars, discotheques, travel agents, photo processors, money changers, souvenir shop and a range of accommodations starting from budget losmens to 5 star hotels.
The town of Senggigi spreads out along nearly 10 kilometers of coastal road. This road continues north to Bangsal, the port for the Gili Islands. Along the way be in store for winding turns, steep hills, and a fantastic scenery of the coast. Say hello to the friendly kids playing in the villages along the way.

Restaurants and small cafes line the colorful main beach road. Swimming off the beach is safe. Most visitors to Lombok usually start their stay at Senggigi, Lombok’s oldest and most famous resort area.

Getting There & Away
Coming from Lembar harbour, you can go straight to Senggigi by Perama Shuttle bus, or any other Shuttle service available. Lombok taxi available on call for 24 hours of service. If you are coming by plane, there is a taxi service at the airport that will take you to your hotel destination for Rp. 35,000 (US$4.00). Public transportation or ” Bemos ” are available from 06.00 AM – 06.30 PM for about Rp. 1,500 (Ampenan-Senggigi, or Senggigi-Ampenan) one way. Nightlife Activities Senggigi

Senggigi offers a lot of kind of excitement and fun. Most hotels in Senggigi usually offer their guest with daily live entertainment, from cultural shows to live acoustic music from locals trios. This regular entertainment accompanying the Buffet offered by hotel's restaurant.

Senggigi is also become a favorite place for wealthy locals from Mataram, Ampenan and Cakranegara to spend weekend with family or friends.

Happy Cafe, Marina Pubs, Papaya Cafe have live music on occasions with locals band doing good rock from the oldiest-goldiest to the on demand today's music. Most expats and locals socialize and have fun together. In the busy season, they can all get crowded by tourists and locals. Some pubs with techno music and discos open from 12:00PM till morning.

Places like Sahara Club, 69 Club, Marina requires you to dress casually and visitors must pay entrance fee to enter. Most places are free of charge. No advanced reservation required. First come first served. For guest who wish to celebrate an anniversary and need require a pre-decorated table, an advanced reservation may required.

Senggigi Lombok is a place for travelers who seeking for quite settings and fun at the same time. Nice beaches, friendly and warm people, cheap places to stay and eat and beautiful natural landscape are the highlights of Lombok. Senggigi is much more welcome for tourist of all ages. Even though Lombok island is majority dominated by Sasak Moslems, but alcoholic drinks are quite easy to find in any bars or cafes in major tourist places like senggigi or the gilis.

Sunset start at 06:15 PM in Lombok. There is no time different between Bali and Lombok. Sunset at the beach with a drink at one of the beach bar could be a good fun to do after a full day tour or water activities.

After a good drink and meals, many visitors are happy to have a chat and enjoy another drink and a stroll in a cool evening air. There is also selection of a more sophisticated nightspot in Senggigi where the ambience is more relaxed and the music can be good - much of it from locals band. Sugar Cafe and Bar is a "Gay Friendly" Bar in Senggigi. Once a week during the busy season they have cabaret shows.

Bars are usually free to enter, and often have special drinks promotion and happy hours from 07 - 09PM. One of the most popular place to party is Marina Pub with live music, young crowd and lots of local call-girls.

Upon arrival at Lombok airport, you will be welcomed by our representative, then tour starts to visit Banyumulek village, famous for its traditional potery, Mandalika market; the perfect place to observe the local activities. Narmada, the Royal garden dated back 17th Century, proceed to Senggigi, the major tourist beach resort in Lombok. Lunch will be served in Senggigi area. A short drive to Senggigi main area for leisure. The tour then proceed to visit the temple of Batu bolong, where, during the clear weather, you can witness the panorama of Mt. Agung in Bali. Passing through the old harbor of Ampenan, to reach Mataram, the capital city of West Nusa Tenggara and the trading centre of Cakranegara just before you stop at the temple of Lingsar; a unique culture that merges the Hindhus and Moslem to live in harmony. After that, Mayura; the water palace, which was also used as the meeting hall of the former Balinese kingdom, Jangkuk village, famous for its wood and lontar leaves handicraft. Drive back to Lembar harbor or airport.
